  MARTIN, Mildred Caroline (nee Thoms) - Surrounded by her loving family, passed away, peacefully at Grand River Hospital on Friday, March 17, 2006 at the age of 86. Devoted wife for 55 years of the late George A. Martin and loving mother of Eric and his wife Alix of Burlington, Rob and his wife Debbie of Kitchener, Julia Martin and her husband Barry Johnson of Kitchener and Linda Ritter and her husband Roger of Waterloo. Also survived by eight loving grandchildren. Mildred grew up and lived most of her life in St. Jacobs. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in St. Jacobs and devoted her time and talent to the E.L.W. She was also a long time member of the Merry- Maids Sextet. A Memorial service will be held at David MacLeod Funeral Home, 617 King St. N., Waterloo on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at 10 a.m., Rev. Harold Brill officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations to Waterloo Regional Homes for Mental Health Inc. would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at 519-888-7700.
