  DEATH OF Miss SLOAN The many friends of Mrs. Sloan, West Main St., deeply regret the death of her daughter, which sad event tookk place, on Friday last. Miss Sloan had been a great sufferer for a lenghthened period and her physicians, as a last resort, had recourse to an operation, which was performed at the Hospital on Tuesday. Unfortunately however, her.constittion, which had been greatly weakened by her previous illness, was unable to stand the severe strain of the operation and she passed away early on Friday morning.
