DEATH OF MRS. SAMUEL E. EBY IN ROLAND, MAN.
Deceased Was a Native of Kitchener and Well Known in Vicinity
The many friends in Waterloo, Kitchener and the vicinity of Mrs. Samuel Eby, of Roland, Manitoba, who passed away at her home in that place on June 21st, will be interested in reading the following account of her death from a Roland paper.
There passed away at her home. west of Roland, last Thursday eve ing. Nancy Eby, wife of Mr. Samuel E. Eby. She succumbed to an attack of pneumonia after an illness of only nine days. Her death was the more sad in that it was the second bereavement the family had suffered within two weeks, her son Ira's wife having passed away on the 10th inst. Deceased became ill the day before her daughter-in-law, and passed away one week later.
The funeral was held the afternoon of Monday, June 25 The remains were brought from the home, followed by many neighbors and friends to Zion Church, Roland, where the services were conducted by Rev. E. East, of Mirmi, assisted by Rev. D. R. Patter son, and interment was later made in Fairview cemetery.
Deceased was born near Kitchener, Ont., in the year 1864, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Reinhart She grew to womanhood there and thirty-one years ago became the wife of Mr. Samuel E Eby. A few years after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Eby moved west, going to Alberta first, where they lived for five years. Thirteen years ago they came to Manitoba with their family and settled near Roland on the farm on which they still reside During her long residence here Mrs. Eby became highly respected and esteemed by all with whom she grew acquainted and her friends. of whom she had many, will feel her loss very greatly. She is an active member of the Adger and Anderson Ladles Aid Societies and from the members of both these societies beautiful wreaths of flowers were sent
There remain to mourn her loss her loss her husband and a family of three sons and five daughters. The sons are Milo and Clayton. at home, daughters are Mrs. Byron Bartley, and Vera and Ira of Saskatoon. The daughter Verdella, Hilda and Mildred, all of whom reside here. Three brothers, who reside in Ontario, also survive. They are Messrs. A. Reinhart, Southampton, and John, of Stainer.
Deep sympathy is felt for the hus band and family in their great loss.
