    • SCHENK, Laura Marie - Formerly of Kitchener, passed away peacefully, at Durham Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family, on Friday, Oct. 5, 2001. She was 92. Laura was born in Carrick township, daughter of the late Henry and Edith (Wolfrum) Weber. She was a resident of Kitchener for many years where she was active with the ELW of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church and the Quilters Group. Survived by her children, Joyce (Edward) Wiseman of Hanover, Laverne (Joyce) Schenk of Cambridge, Larry (Margaret) Schenck of Kitchener, Brenda Hay of Cambridge; step-daughter, Gladys Buckle of Hanover; loving grandmother of 17 grandchildren and dear great-grandma of 23 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers, George (Emma) Weber of Mildmay, Aaron (Ruth) Weber of Neustadt; sister, Doretta (George) Muller of Kitchener; brothers-in-law; Alex Letson of Elmira, Harold (Shirley) Schenk of Ayton. Predeceased by her husband, Menno Schenk; step-son, Lloyd Schenk and his wife Shirley; step-son-in-law, Tom Buckle; sisters, Amelia Letson, Alvina (Conrad) Weber, Emma (Elmer) Russwurm and a brother, Charles (Edna) Weber. Visitation at MIghton Funeral Home, Hanover, today (Saturday) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001 at 2 p.m. at St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. Annette Smith officiating. Interment in Memory Gardens Breslau.
