    • KNECHTEL, Clifford Stanley - Passed away, peacefully, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Saturday, November 2,2002, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Reta (Schmitt) Knechtel. Dear father of Shirley Shantz (Jim) of New Hamburg, Janet McLaughlin (Jim) of Parksville, B.C., Marlene Knechtel of Lake Louise, Alta., Douglas Knechtel of Kitchener and Brian Knechtel (Kathy) of Lucknow. A special grandfather to Kim (Mike) Trottier, Greg Shantz, Dean (Pat) Shantz, Mark (Lori) McLaughlin, Paul (Aya) McLaughlin and Jason McLaughlin, Amy, Laura, Ben and Jenna Knechtel. Cherished great-grandfather of Jill and Josh Mar-tin, Emily and Matthew Shantz, Marly, Nicholas and Riki McLaughlin. Survived by his brothers, Orval of Kitchener, Alfred of London and sisters, Fern Knechtel and Dorothy Knechtel, all of Kitchener, Lila Martin of Floradale, Erma Gingrich and Carol Martin, both of Elmira. Predeceased by his parents, Ephraim and Edna (Snyder) Knechtel; brother, Paul and sister, Grace. Clifford farmed on the family farm in Mannheim for 40 years. He was a life-long member of Mannheim Mennonite Church. He was also a member of the Mannheim Senior's Club and enjoyed playing pool and crokinole with his friends. The Knechtel family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, today (Monday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Mannheim Mennonite Church, RR2, Petersburg on Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at 2 p.m., with Rev. David Thiessen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In Clifford's memory, donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and may be arranged through the funeral home 745-8445 or www.edwardrgood.com
