- Schmitt.- Lloyd E., son of Moses and Leah (Weber) Schmitt, was born in Alberta, Canada, Mar. 17, 1913; died of a heart attack at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Apr. 25, 1981; aged 68 y. He was married to Dorothy Shantz, who survives. Also surviving are one son (Gerald), one daughter (Marlene-Mrs. Willard Snider), 2 grandchildren, one brother (Leighton), and one sister (Mrs. Naomi Gingrich). He was a member of First Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Apr. 27, in charge of Glenn Brubacher; interment in First Mennonite Cemetery.

SCHMITT, Lloyd E. -- At St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Saturday, April 25, 1981, as a result of a heart attack, Lloyd E. Schmitt, aged 68 years, of 25 Alderside Dr., New Dundee. Mr. Schmitt was born in Alberta, and was a son of the late Moses Schmitt and the former Leah Weber. He was a member of First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, and had owned and operated Lloyd Schmitt Equipment Ltd. in Kitchener, and before his retirement at 24 Laurel St., Waterloo. He is survived by his wife the former Dorothy Shantz; one son Gerald of Cambridge, one daughter Mrs. Willard (Marlene) Snider of Breslau; brother of Leighton of Kitchener and Mrs. Naomi Gingrich of Cambridge. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Steven and Dale Snider. Mr. Schmitt's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, from 2-4: 30 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday. At noon on Monday, removal will be made to the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, for the funeral service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Glen Brubacher officiating. Interment to follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Donations to the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
