  DEATH CLOSES USEFUL LIFE Rev. E. Guetzner of Hanover Has Spent Nearly 50 Years in Ministry Rev. E. Gruetzner, for nearly 50 years in active ministry German Baptist church, died yesterday at his home in Hanover. Deceased is well known in Berlin and county, having labored in neerby charges for years. He was born in Germany and came to the United States with his parents, when a boy. After entering the ministry, he preached in Cleveland for number of years, coming from there to New Dundee, New Hamburg and his last charge being Neustadt. The last ten years of his life have been spent in retirement from the active ministry, although he preached an occasional sermon, as a supply. Only a short time ago, he celebrated the 60th anniversary of his wedding and a sister. Mrs. G. A. Schulte, of Jersey City, who survives him was able to be present., At that diamond jubilee. Mr. and Mrs. G..A. Schulte were the only ones present, who had attended the marriage. 60 years previous. Mr. B. C. Schulte, King street real estate man is a nephew of deceased and left this morning to attend the funeral, which takes place to-morrow. Mr. G. A. Gruetzner, manager of Hespeler Furniture Company. Hespeler. and well known in Berlin is a son. Deceased is survived by his aged wife, four sons and two daughters. They are Mrs. August Lautenschlager. New Dundee, and Emma at home: Herman, Edward and Theodore, of Hanover and G. A., of Hespeler. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at Hanover, from his late residence to the Baptist church and the Hanover cemetery where interment will take place.
