• Notes

  Former Resident Dies In Toronto. The death occurred in Toronto recently of Miss Eliza Smith, a former well-known resident of Wilmot township. She was a daughter of the late William Crowe Smith and spent her younger days in this district and was an active worker of the St. James' (Anglican) Church. After leaving here she lived for many years in the Canadian West but for some years past she resided in Toronto where she passed away at the age of 70 years. The remains were brought here for buial in St. James' Cemetery. Rev. Mr. Pitts of the local parish assisted by Rev. R. Facey of Moorefield conducted the funeral service. Mr. Fred C. Smith of Alberta, Mr. Albert Smith of South America and Mrs. Davis of Toronto are the surviving brothers and sister of the deceased. Waterloo Chronicle 1 Sep 1932, p. 6
