  Word has been received of the death of Frank Blatchford, V.S., at Brighton, Mich. He was born at Haysville and was a nephew of the late W. R. Plum of New Hamburg. Waterloo Chronicle, 26 Jul 1938, p. 6 ____________________ New Hamburg The New Hamburg Co. of Volunteers No. 3, Co. 29th Batt. has 18 to 20 men drilling under Capt. McCallum, Col. Serg't Futher was promoted to second Lieutenant to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Lieutenant Frank Blatchford who has gone to Michigan to practice the veterinary art.
