Notes - BAECHLER, Earl - Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at St. Mary's General Hospital, on May 13, 2008, in his 85th year. Son of Joseph Z. Baechler and Mary Bender. Beloved husband of Florence (nee Roth) Baechler for 64 years. Father of Laura Benedict of Kitchener, Richard Baechler and his wife Evelyn of Ayr and Martha George and her husband Douglas of Kitchener. Cherished grandfather of Mary and Jonathan Thiessen, Matt, Zachary and Joseph George, all of Kitchener. Survived by his sister, Doris Roth of Kitchener. Predeceased by his daughter, Marlene (1977); son-in-law, Ronnie (1988). Earl was past Master of Waterloo Lodge 539 and was a Shriner for many years. Cremation has taken place. Earl's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, May 16 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 (Masonic Lodge service 10: 45 a.m.) from 11 a.m. until the time of Earl's funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to the Gideons International or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
