Eby, Ezra E. (1895). Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.].
______________
AMOS BRICKER
Here is another enterprising and hard working young farmer. Despite the fact that his home was entirely destroyed by fire seven years ago his family is comfortably situated beneath the roof of a neat and spacious brick house. The cause which resulted in the destruction of the old house was lightning. His place is well supplied with wind-mill power, which is utilized in pumping and forcing water conveniently to the house and barnyard and grinding and cutting feed for his cattle. He has fattened twenty head of cattle this season, and has several fine animals about ready for the market now, and has twelve cows of the Durham and Holstein cross and Holstein and Jersey also. He keeps six horses. Last year be produced 1,730 bushels of wheat, 1,100 bushels of oats and 250 bushels of peas. He is the father of five children, two of them being fine twin boys. It is not likely that they will ever want for the necessities of life while under the parental roof, as the father and mother seem to be amply capable of producing everything in that line in abundance.
