    • BOWMAN, Marie (Mrs. Dan A.) - Peacefully went home to be with the Lord, on Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at Chateau Gardens, Elmira, Marie (Miller) Bowman, in her 93rd year.Beloved wife of the late Dan A. Bowman (1978). Loving mother of Lorna Wittman and Bill Kavelman of Paris, Dennis and Melva Bowman of Elmira, Willis and Diane Bowman of Eganville, Ruthann and Geoff Moore of Waterloo. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Ralph (Willi) Wittman, Rob (Carolee) Wittman, Lee Bowman, Casey Bowman, Joe (Krisha) Moore, Christie (Chris) Smith and great-grandchildren, Jeremy Wittman and Elijah Moore. Sister of Elmer Miller and Gary (Tillie) Miller. Predeceased by her parents, John and Elizabeth (Stumpf) Miller; one sister, Edna Piercey and two brothers, Vic Stumpf and Ted Miller. Marie was a longtime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, an enthusiastic quilter and prolific knitter, baker of perfect pies. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Thursday, transfer will be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Elmira for funeral service at 1: 30 p.m. with Rev. Richard A. Frey officiating followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. In her memory, donations to Lutheran Braille Workers would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
