  ZEHR, Alice - Passed away, on Tuesday, August 12, 2003, at People Care Centre, Stratford. Alice formerly resided in Milverton.She was born 97 years ago in East Zorra township and was the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Christina (Bender) Baechler. Alice was also predeceased by her step-mother, Mary (Bender) Baechler.Beloved wife of Pastor Menno Zehr, who predeceased her July 15, 1980. Dear mother of Blanche Ropp of Stratford, Nelda and her husband Edgar Leis of Waterloo and Kenneth and his wife Pat Zehr of Taylor, Michigan. Sadly missed by nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also remembered by her brother, Earl and his wife Florence of Waterloo and sister Doris Roth of Kitchener and sister-in-law, Verna Baechler of Vancouver.Alice was predeceased by a son-in-law, Lincoln Ropp; daughter-in-law, Betty Zehr; brothers, Emerson and Florence Baechler, William and Annie Baechler, Omer and Marion Baechler, Arthur and Idella Baechler, Ezra and Olive Baechler, Joseph and Cathy Baechler, Rufus Baechler; sisters, Annie and Katie in infancy; brothers-in-law, Alvin Roth, Chris and Salome Zehr, William and Drisculla Zehr and sister-in-law, Fannie and Allan Jantzi.Alice was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank and was the first president of the WMSC.Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer St., Milverton on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2003 at Riverdale Mennonite Church, Millbank at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the People Care Centre, Stratford Paper unknown
