    • Mrs. David Hammer

      Mrs. David Hammer, 90, of Wellesley, died Friday at K-W Hospital, after a short illness. Born in Wilmot Township, Mrs. Hammer was the former Catherine Heise, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Heise. She and her husband were life long residents of Wellesley. Mrs. Hammer was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wellesley, and an honorary member of the Ladies' Aid.

      Predeceased by her husband in 1958, she is survived by a son, Louis, of Detroit; one daughter, Mrs. George (Matilda) Strebel of Waterloo, with whom Mrs. Hammer lived following the death of her husband; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

      Funeral services were held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Monday afternoon with Rev. Ronald Reisdorf officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

      Mrs. David Hammer, 90, of 29 Moore Ave. N., Waterloo, died at K-W Hospital after a brief illness.

      Mrs. Hammer, the former Catherine Heise, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Heise, was born in Wilmot Township Sept. 4, 1885. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wellesley, and an honorary member of the Ladies Aid. Her husband died in 1958. Mrs. Hammer has been living with her daughter, Mrs. George (Matilda) Strebel, in Waterloo for the past eight years.

      Surviving are a son, Lewis of Detroit; a daughter, Mrs. Strebel; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hammer was predeceased by a son, Adam, a brother and two sisters.

      The body was at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley, until Monday noon when removal was made to St. Paul's Church, Wellesley, for the service at 3 pm. Entombment in St. Paul's Cemetery. Rev. Ronald Reisdorf officiated.
