Notes |
- Jane was a niece of Michael O'Lone who is shown in the "Early Pioneers of Waterloo Twp" book as a landholder in 1831: German Co. Tract 53W - 125 ac. He ran a store & tavern, and a school in Centreville, Waterloo Twp., which is now part of the city of Kitchener. The priests from the Dundas Mission used his store to conduct mass when they travelled their circuit. Michael O'Lone left a will (he died in 1847) in which he left his farms to James, Bernard and Mary, children of his eldest brother John. James and Bernard refused to take the property, but Mary accepted it. She married John Johnson about the same time. Her sisters Jane and Roseanna were left money by their uncle, as were the children of Michael's other brother Hugh, who lived in Queenston.
