  Christina Steinmann Passed away peacefully on Saturday January 14, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Christina resided at Nithview Community. She was born 95 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Katie (Steinman) Gingerich. Beloved wife of the late Floyd Steinmann who predeceased her in 1973. Loving mother of Barb and Bruce Schumm, Brian and Karen Steinmann all of New Hamburg. Loving grandmother of Kevin (Jayne), Amy, David, Christine (Gerry), Jessica (Kevin), Jalyssa (Ryan), Jake (Kelly) and her great-grandchildren Preston, Quinn, Bennett, Logan, Mason and Natalie. Christina was predeceased by her son Burton in 1970, sisters and brothers Elvera and Mose Roth, Marion and Isaiah Gingerich, Eldon and Eva Gingerich, Alma and Lloyd Roth, Melvin and Dorothy Gingerich and sister-in-law Idella and Arthur Baechler. Christina was a member of Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden and attended chapel at Nithview Community. Friends and relatives will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg today Monday January 16, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden with Pastor Myrna Miller Dyck officiating. Interment to follow in Steinmann Mennonite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Steinmann Mennonite Church or Nithview Community.
