    • MRS. ELIZABETH A. REID

      Mrs. Elizabeth A. Reid, 1368 Arroyo avenue, passed away this morning at 12:30 o'clock, following three years of failing health.
      Mrs. Reid, 84 years of age, was born in Stapleford, Eng., September 25, 1852, and came to Canada with her parents when only a year old. In September, 1889, she came to California from Canada and had made her home in Pomona since. that time. She was a devout member of the William Street chapel and was a member of the Women's Community club until her health began to fail and she was unable to attend.

      She is survived by a son, Gordon A. McCarter, Ontario; a daughter, Mrs. Daisy M. Spurgeon, Pomona: a stepdaughter, Mrs. Margaret Adamson, Pomona; a stepson, W.. A. Reid, Riverside; and sister, Mrs. Miriam Wallace, Kingston, Wash.; a brother, J. E. Adamson, Pomona: two grandsons, Gordon W. Mashmeyer, Bakersfield, and Jack B. McCarter, Upland; two great grandchildren, Barbara Jean Mash- meyer and Jackie McCarter.

      Funeral services will be held in Todd & Reeves chapel Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made in Pomona cemetery.
