    • OLD RESIDENT OF BROOK-FIELD PASSES AWAY

      Mrs. Anna Ida Schaper, 72, died at her home in Gagetown Friday following a few hours illness the result of a stroke.

      Anna Ida Kaercher was born in Ontario on July 11, 1868. In 1891 she was united in marriage to William Schaper who preceded her in death eighteen years ago.

      Mrs. Schaper lived in Brookfield township for 45 years until about seven months ago.

      Deceased leaves three sons, Leslie, and Myron of Detroit and William of Brookfield and one daughter, Violeta of Detroit; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

      The funeral services were held in the Owendale Evangelical church on Monday and were conducted by Rev. George Belknap. Burial was in the Pigeon cemetery.
