  Died peacefully at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 71 years. Beloved husband of Geraldine (Gerry) (nee Woelfle). Loving father of Chris and April Bauman of Kitchener, Curtis and Christine Bauman of Port Dover, Cindy and Paul Bossenberry of Elmira, Cheri and Mark Dowding of Kitchener. Grandfather of Miranda, Joseph, and Jessica Bauman of Port Dover, Ashliegh and Ainslie Bauman of Kitchener, David, Daniel and Duncan Bossenberry of Elmira, James, Jennifer and Jillian Dowding of Kitchener. Predeceased by his parents, Wilfred (Bip) Bauman and Viola Bricker, his brother, Reginald Bauman, and sister, Mildred Martin of Detroit. James was a member of the KW Flying Dutchmen Model Airplane Club and the Blue Diamond Motorcycle Club. He was also a loyal fan of the Sensation Jazz Band. A memorial service for James will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (749-8467) on Sunday, September 29, 2002 at 2 pm. Cremation has taken place.As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Thanks to the Palliative Care Staff, Dr. Casey and Dr. MacMillan, Diane Osborn-care nurse and other staff members of the Freeport Health Centre.
