  Kitchener Man Killed By City Bus Melvin H. Baer, 29, of Kitchener, died on Wednesday morning a few minutes after he was run ever by a Kitchener city bus on Wellington St. He had been riding a bicycle along Wellington St., and after parking it at the curb, stepped in front of the bus. A front wheel of the vehicle passed over his head. Baer was a salesman for the Pearl Steam Laundry. The deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. (Norman Baer of R. R. 2, Petersburg, and was born in Wilmot Township on June 2nd, 1917. Surviving are his parents, two brothers, Lorne Baer, Toronto, and Willis Baer, Petersburg, and three sisters, Misses Reta and Ethel Baer and Mrs. Wilfred Tebbutt, all of Kitchener. The funeral will be held this Friday afternoon with service at the Latcharr Mennonite Church, Mannheim, at 2.30 o'clock, followed hy interment in the church cemetery. The services will be conducted by Bishop Manassoh Hallman, assisted; by the Rev. Ozias Horst. New Hamburg Independent 26 Jul 1946
