William Glick born August 12, 1862, near Quebec, Canada, died on June 6, 1948 in the Tillamook hospital. At the age of one year, Glick and his parents moved to Michigan. A few years later they moved to a farm near Gentry, Mo. In 1883, Mr. Glick came to Oregon where he made his home near Applegate, then spent several years near Needy, Oregon. In 1890, he moved to Tillamook county on a homestead two and one-half miles west of Cloverdale. Mr. Glick was married to Georgia Ann Gist on October 24, 1897. In 1942, Mr. and Mrs. Glick sold their farm and moved to Cloverdale. On June 7, 1946, they moved to Dallas where they were residing at the time of Mr. Glick's death. Mr. Glick was the beloved husband of Georgia Anna Glick of Dallas; the father of Jennie Brandt, of Cloverdale and Gall Glick, deceased in 1921; brother of Mary Beauchamp of Illinois; grandfather of Lloyd Brandt and Keith Brandt of Portland, Allen Brandt Milwaukie and Elaine Brandt of Cloverdale; great-grandfather of Katheryn Brandt of Milwaukie and stepbrother of Ira DeWitt of Dallas. Mr. Glick has been a member of the Cloverdale Baptist church since 1907. Funeral services were held for the deceased on Wednesday, June 9, at 1:oo p.m. Rev. J. E. Tooke officiated at the services conducted in the Cloverdale Baptist Church. Pauline Dougherty and Dorothy Lane were vocalists and Mrs. Roy Hushbeck presided at the organ. Pallbearers were Clyde Hudson, Clark Thun, Victor Huson, R. J. Hatfield, Jim Trant and Victor Learned. Arrangements were entrusted to Waud's Tillamook Funeral Home.
