- CURRIE, GEORGE ALBERT
Following a short illness, in his 29th year, at the Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday evening, February 2, 1944. He had been in hospital for only a day and a half. He was taken to the hospital on Sunday, having taken ill on Saturday night. A farmer, Mr. Currie had resided with his aunt, Mrs. Donald Currie of Puslinch Township. Mr. Currie was born in Acton on May 27, 1915, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lachlan Currie. They predeceased him a number of years ago. He attended the Hespeler United Church, as he had lived in Hespeler for some years but at the time of his passing, was residing in Puslinch Township. His aunt is his only survivor. The funeral took place from her home on Fri., Feb. 4 at 2: 30, with Rev. George Kersey
of Hespeler United Church conducting the service, assisted by Rev. J. C. Williamson of Preston Baptist Church. Pallbearers: Neil Darby, Will Tabbed, Ross Gilders, Leonard Robertson of the Puslinch district and John Murdoch of Acton. Interment will be made in the Acton Cemetery.
