      At the Freeport Hospital, on Tuesday, March 21, 1972, following a lengthy illness, Alva Saltzberry, of New Dundee, age 85 years; a native of Waterloo Twp. and a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Johns Saltzberry; formerly employed at the Hallman Saw Mill, New Dundee and a member of the New Dundee United Brethern Church; husband of Florence Lane; father of the late Russell A. killed in action while serving with the R.C.A.F. in the Second World War; also predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.

      Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener, where funeral and committal service be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. with Rev. A. Ward Woolner officiating. Interment Union cemetery, New Dundee. Donations to The Coronary Care Unit of the K-W Hospital, may be made as expressions of sympathy.
