• Notes

  We recently called at the SWEET BRIAR FARM where we found Mr. Peter S. Bricker in charge. He is certainly the right man for the place and the executors of the estate were fortunate in getting such an able man and practical farmer to lease it. Since he took the farm he has pruned the trees nicely, new barns have been erected, in which he is feeding a splendid lot of cattle, pigs, and a tine lot of dairy cows. Mrs. Bricker has things about the house always neat and tidy. Her excellent butter has a good reputation in town, and is all purchased by Dunke & Co., our popular farm grocers. Her poultry is of the best and is well kept. We wish this young and industrions couple continued prosperity on this coveniently situated farm. Waterloo County Chronicle, 17 Jan 1895, p. 8
