- Belk, Kenneth - Died, on Monday, June 1, 1998, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, in his 75th year.
He resided in New Hamburg and was formerly of Toronto.
He was born in Toronto, a son of the late George and Gladys (Wilson) Belk. Kenneth attended the Evangelical Missionary Church, Plattsville. He was self-employed as a master watchmaker for many years in Toronto and New Hamburg. Kenneth was actively involved in The Mailbox Club Ministry and enjoyed woodcarving and fishing as his hobbies. He had serviced with the Black Watch Regiment during the Second World War.
Predeceased by his first wife, Jessie M. (Dytor) in 1985. Ever remembered by his second wife, Mary (Roth) and loving father of Gail Belk of New Hamburg, Steven Belk and his wife Bev of RR 2, New Hamburg and grandfather to Philip and James Belk Also missed by his mother-in-law, Irene Roth of RR 1, Gadshill; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marcella and Ned Graber of Red Lake, Fern and Paul Huber of RR 1, Gadshill, Franklin and Mabel Roth of RR 2, Wellesley, Esther and Marvin Good of RR 1, Milverton, James and Lorna Roth of Tara. Lovingly remembered by a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Roy Belk.
Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at 11 a.m., transfer will be made to Evangelical Missionary Church, Plattsville for the service at 1: 30 p.m. with Pastor Lloyd Fretz officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg.
