    • Alex Anderson Killed - The friends here of Mr. Alex Anderson of Toronto received word yesterday of his death the previous evening, and from the Globe we learn that he was driving his team home after work when the lines became tangled in the whiffletree and in reaching forward to disengage them he fell between the horses, a wheel passed over his head, crushing the skull. Death followed in a few minutes. Deceased was 50 years of age and leaves a widow and grown-up family. His mother resides here, as does also his brother, Robert Anderson, and a sister, Mrs. A. O. Nickerson. The other brothers and sisters are: Thomas, Peterborough; Andy, in the west; Mrs. Wm. Smith, Brantford, and Mrs. Louis Rathe, Terrebone. Interment at Toronto.
