- Mrs. Mary Lichti died on Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Omar Baechler, South Easthope, after a brief illness, at the age of 80 years. Born in East Zorra, Jan. 1st 1873, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Roth. She was married to Menno Lichti, who died in 1916; Daniel Ruby, who died in 1934, and Nicklaus Lichti, who died in 1946. A member of the East Zorra Amish Mennonite 16th Line Church, she is survived by a brother, Joseph Roth, South Easthope, and a sister, Mrs. Abraham Lichti, New Hamburg. The funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon with private service at the residence, Followed by a memorial service at the East Zorra A.M. Church. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

Lichti - Mary, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Roth, was born in East Zorra, Ont., Jan. 1, 1873; passed away at the home of her niece, Mrs. Omar Baechler, March 29, 1953, following a brief illness; aged 80y. 2 m. 28 d. She was married to Menno Lichti, who died in 1916; to Daniel Ruby who died in 1934; and to Nicholas Lichti who died in 1946. She accepted Christ as her Saviour in her youth and was a member of the East Zorra A. M. Church. Surviving are one brother (Joseph, South Easthope, Ont.), and one sister (Mrs. Abraham Lichti, New Hamburg, Ont.). One brother and 3 sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at the East Zorra A. M. Church, April 1, in charge of Daniel Wagler and Henry Yantzi, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.
