- A Sad Death - The sad intelligence was received here on Tuesday of the sudden death of Edith Matheson of Prince Albert, Sask., of heart failure. Deceased had resided in the West about two years and formerly taught school in Wingham and Preston. She was possessed of a beautiful character and was much esteemed and beloved by a large circle of friends. In religion she was Presbyterian and while residing in Ayr attended the Stanley St. Church. The following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Charles Reeb, Port Colborne; Mrs. Andrew Rogers, Daulphin, Man.; Mrs. Critterden, Stoney Brook, Sask.; David, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; George A., Georgina and Elizabeth, Ayr. The remains will be brought home for interment and are expected to arrive on Sunday. The funeral will take place on Monday at 2:30 pm, to Ayr Cemetery.
