- ALBERT DEVITT
The death occurred at the Elmira Private Hospital early Wednesday morning of Albert W. Devitt in his 89th year. He was born near Kitchener on September 29, 1865, and resided at Elmira most of his life.
Mr. Devitt was predeceased by his wife in 1935, the former, Katherine Levena Peppler, and is survived by two daughters, Mrs., H. A. Wiegand and Mrs. Mrs. L. E. Paterson, both of Kitchener, two grandsons, D. D. Wiegand and M. B. Wiegand, and a great grandson

ELMIRA-Albert W. Devitt, 88, died early today. He was born near Kitchener and spent most of his life in Elmira.
His wife, the former Katherine Levina Peppler, died in 1935. Mr. Devitt was a member of Gale Presbyterian Church where he served on the board of managers and the session until his death. He was historian for Guelph Presbytery and an active member of the Waterloo County Historical Society.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. H. A. Wiegand and Mrs. L. E. Paterson, both of Kitchener; two grandsons, and one great-grandson.
The body is at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, where service will be held in the chapel at 3 p.m. Rev. H. L. Simpson and Rev. Finlay G. Stewart will officiate; Interment will be in Elmira Cemetery.
