  Death of Wm. Weiler, of Preston The death of this gentleman occurred at his residence n Preston on Friday last. The deceased had been ailing for some time previous to his demise, and although the news of his death was not unexpected, it nevertheless cast a gloom over the entire village, as deceased was highly respected by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. He at one time carried on a very successful boot and shoe trade in Preston, and was in the same line of business at the time of his death. Mr. Weiler was in his 33rd year, and leaves a widow and two young children to mourn his loss. Being a member of the Oddfellows Lodge the brethren of that Order turned out in large numbers on Sunday afternoon last and escorted the remains to their last resting place in the Preston Cemetery, where the beautiful burial service of the Order was read by Reeve Clare.
