    • THE LATE W. C. KLOTZ

      Monday's Standard briefly announced the death of Waldemar Carl Klotz, superintendent of Canadian, Ammonia home. Co. which occurred at his home. 52 Pine Crest Blvd. Toronto.

      Mr. Klotz was born in Preston. Ont.. 50 years ago, a son of Charles E. Klotz. of St. Catharines. He was educated at the St. Catharines Collegiate Institute, and University of Toronto, graduating in 1902 in chemistry and mineralogy. He belonged to the Delta Upsilon fraternity and the glee club.

      After graduation he went to Detroit to take charge of the Michigan Ammonia Co. In 1913 he returned to Toronto, and became superintendent of the Canadian Ammonia Co.. which recently became a subsidiary of the Canadian Industries Ltd.. Montreal. Deceased was an authority on the manufacture of ammonia and a clever chemist. Recently he completely reorganized the manufacturing process of the commodity with much success. He was a member of the Scarboro Golf Club and the Toronto Board of Trade. Dr. Oscar Klotz, pathologist is a cousin. Mr. Klotz is survived by his wife, and two children, Beatrice, 9. and Carl, aged 16.
