  Gross, Ronald - With tremendous sense of loss and sadness, we announce the passing of Ronald Joseph Gross, on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000 at Hamilton General Hospital, in his 59th year. Devoted husband of 35 years to Renate (nee Hribar); proud and loving father to Dr. Michelle Gross and her husband Dr. Murray Townsend of Mount Forest; loved son to Anna Gross and son-in-law to Stephanie Hribar, both of Kitchener; dear brother to Maryanne Strauss and her husband Bill of St. Jacobs, Pat Ilowski and her husband Ed of Stratford, Janet Blake and her husband Kevin of St. George, Brenda Voll and her husband Larry of Kitchener and Joan Peplinski and her husband Peter Jordan of Waterloo; also survived by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, Joseph; two brothers in infancy; his father-in-law, Cryril and a brother-in-law, David. Ron was employed with the Waterloo District Catholic School Board for over 25 years. He was a member of the Alpine Club and the A. R. Kaufman YMCA. Friends will be received at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, 742-4481, this evening (Wednesday) 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be said on Thursday at 8: 45 p.m. from the funeral home. Prayers will be recited from the funeral home on Friday at 10: 30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aloysius RC Church at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. The Record, February 9, 2000
