  Mrs. John Ranks Native of Reidsville Passes Away in Detroit on May 25th The death occurred in Detroit on Wednesday. May 25th, of Mrs. John Ranks, a former resident of this village. Mrs. Ranks, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Kelley, was born at Reidsville, being a daughter of the late Henry Kelley. She had been in ill health for some time and her death was not unexpected. After living in Ayr for some years, the family moved to Windsor about 35 or 40 years ago, later going to Detroit. Besides her sorrowing husband, she is survived by two daughters and one son, all of Detroit: Mrs. Collinson, Mrs. Willet and Cyril. The Ayr News Jun 2 1938 pg 6
