Friends here received word by telegraph on Saturday of the death of Mr. Geo. C. Watson of Parkersburg, Iowa, a native of Ayr, in his 49th year. The deceased, who had been ill for some time from a complication of diabetes and grip, was a son of the late Archibald Watson, and was born and educated in Ayr but went west many years ago and engaged in the business of tinsmithing, at which he prospered well. He leaves a widow and three children to mourn his early demise. A brother, two sisters and a half-brother also survive. They are: Wm. A. Watson, Moosejaw, Sask.; Mrs. Byron Kilbourn, Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Robert Chisholm, Blenheim, and Mr. Jas. G.
