  Mrs. Robert Chisholm Native of Ayr Passes in Paris Hospital in Her 82nd Year The death occurred in Willett Hospital, Paris, on Monday at midnight of Janet Gibb Watson, widow of Robert Chisholm, in her 82nd year. Mrs. Chisholm had been ill for some considerable time, but had been confined to her bed for only three weeks. She was a daughter of Archibald Watson and Christine Scott, who came here direct from Scotland. Mrs. Chisholm was born in Ayr in the residence now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Holman. All of her married life was spent in Blenheim township prior to retiring to Ayr with her husband 16 years ago. Mr. Chisholm predeceased her seven years ago. Mrs. Chisholm had a wonderful memory and could recall many events which happened in Ayr in the early days. Her father, it will be remembered, lost his life in a fire which occurred in the Nithvale mill. He was a brother of John Watson who established the John Watson Mfg. Company here. Mrs. Chisholm was a member of Knox United Church and led a quiet life. Her kindly and genial disposition .won her many friends, all of whom will regret her passing. Besides one daughter, Mrs. Andrew Stockton, and two granddaughters, she is survived by one brother, Wm. A. Watson, Vancouver, B.C. The funeral will take place from the home of her son-in-law, Andrew Stockton, this (Thursday) afternoon at 2.30 to Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News Aug 2 1945 pg 3
