- CROOKER, James Palmerston - Passed away peacefully at Sunnyside Nursing Home on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the age of 86. He was in the loving company of his "three girls", his daughter, Debbie Kitchen and his granddaughters, Jacqueline and Melissa, all of Kitchener. Beloved brother of Ronald Sam Crooker and his wife, Linda of Hamilton. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Marie (1998) and his son, Carl (1997). James was a Second World War veteran where he served with the Royal Canadian Dragoons. A private family service will be held following cremation. James will be laid to rest in the Waterford cemetery with Marie and Carl. Special thank you to the Nurses and staff of Laurel Creek and Pioneer Tower Unit of Sunnyside Nursing Home and especially Rene Alexander and Michelle Hohn for your many visits and loving support. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnyside Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family.
