    • SCHWARTZENTRUBER, Elverne - Peacefully, with his family by his side, on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Laurentian Hospital. Lovingly known as "Schwartzie," Vern went home to the Lord and is now free of pain. Vern, in his 74th year, is the beloved husband of Noëlla of Monetville. Dear father of Terry and Lynn of Cambridge, Sheryl and Dave Sabola of Cambridge, Krystal and Rock Morin of Noëlville; step-daughter, Julie Pitre and Jose Beites of Sudbury; step-son, Joey and Andrée Pitre of Noëlville. Grandpa to Mark and Lynley, Paul and Sean. Far away Papa to Kris, Ben, Jordan and Mikayla. Papa to Krystyn and Kyrah and Pe-pere to Mathieu, Justin, Emilie, Alexis and Darcy. Predeceased by his parents, Simon and Laura; brothers, Ray, Glen, Simon Jr.; sisters, Ellen and Erma; son, Roger Vern and infant grandson, David. Also lovingly remembered by brothers, Art (Pauline), Nyle (Jean), Clare (Janet), Wayne (Debbie); sisters, Leona (Noah), Reta, Ruth (Bob), Arlene (Greg); mother-in-law, Cecile (Lucien); brother-in-law, John (Bonnie); sister-in-law, Denise (Marcel) and many, many nieces and nephews. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the "special angels" of the Dialysis Unit at Laurentian Hospital. A celebration of Schwartzie's life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the Monetville Community Centre. In lieu of flowers, in his memory, donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy and may be obtained by calling the Co-operative Funeral Home, Sudbury (705-566-2100).
