    • John Boomer was born in Nova Scotia in 1784, and came to Canada with his wife in 1819, settling in Esquesing twp. In 1855, he moved to Wellesley twp., where he died, June 13, 1856; survived by his family.

      A-1-101 John Boomer Probate of the will of John Boomer, late of the Township of Wellesley, granted the 15th July 1856 on the petition of George Taylor, John McKay and William Richard Boomer, the Executors named in said will.

      The last will and testament of John Boomer of the Township of Wellesley -

      First, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Sarah Boomer the sum of sixty? pounds currency per annum during her natural life to be paid semiannually in advance by my Executors hereafter named and appointed.

      Secondly, I give and bequeath to my Executors in trust all my other property both real and personal with full power and authority to execute deed in fee simple of the landed estates which I have in my lifetime sold or contracted to sell, and which remains at present unsettled. And also all my other real estates, situate and lying and being in the Village of Oakville in the Township of Trafalgar, in the County of Halton - to be by them sold as soon as the majority of my surviving children shall think proper after my decease - proceeds of sale to be divided amongst my children or their heirs - namely, heirs of my deceased daughter Eliza Jane Hall. William Richard Boomer, Isabella Wright, Susan Speight, Alfred Boomer, George Crawford Boomer, and John Edward Boomer. In manner following, that is to say to the children of my deceased daughter Eliza Jane Hall I give and bequeath the sum of ten pounds currency each to be paid to them separately when they come of age. To Isabella Wright I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds currency, and to Susan Speight I give and bequeath the sum of seventy-five pounds currency….To my son John Edward Boomer I give and bequeath the sum of four hundred pounds currency. I give and bequeath to my sons William Richard Boomer, Alfred Boomer and George Crawford Boomer in manner following [based on percentages and formula of ratio of interest upon his or her sums]. I do hereby appoint my friends George Taylor, John McKay and my son William Richard Boomer, all of the Township of Wellesley, Executors of this my last will and testament.
