- Funeral Notice. Died, In North Dumfries, on Saturday, Sept. 30th, at 7.10 P.M., Mary Wife of Corunna J. Muir, Aged 75 Years. The Funeral will take place on Tuesday, the 3rd inst., at 11 a.m., from her late residence, Lot 27, Concession 8, to the place of interment, New Cemetery, Ayr. Friends and acquaintances respectfully invited. North Dumfries Sept. 30th, 1882. Recorder Print, Ayr.

Mrs. Mary Muir, was born of Irish M. parents in Glasgow, Scotland in 1807. In 1834 she got married and settled with her husband right after that in North Dumfries. She died in the same township, Sept. 30, 1882, and was buried in the cemetery in the town of Ayr, survived by her husband and daughters.
