  Peter Lockie - As a result of a stroke which he suffered some tow [sic] weeks ago, Peter Lockie died at his home in North Dumfries, about a mile and a half from Branchton, on Friday morning. He was 77 years old. Born in Scotland, deceased came to Canada as a child. He was particularly well known in Blenheim district. He was of the Presbyterian faith. Surviving are his wife, a son, John, at home; one brother, Jesse C., of Blenheim; two sisters; Mrs. Andrew B. Orr, Roseville Road, and Miss Jane Lockie, Galt. There are also four grandchildren. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon from Ball funeral parlors to the Ayr Cemetery. The service was in charge of Rev. J. W. Currie, while the pallbearers were: A. Easton, T. Brown, D. Lockie, S. Lockie, J. Pinnock and Mr. Rosebrugh. The Ayr News Mar 17 1932 pg 10
