- Herman Hanekamp of 119 Barbara Cres., died of a heart attack Monday. He was 50. Born Dec. 13, 1917, in Holland, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Johanas Hanekamp. In 1959 he came to Kitchener where he was employed as a machinist at Twin City Machine and Repair for eight years. He was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Maggie Vanderworp, whom he married June 21, 1943 in Holland; one son, Harry of Kitchener; two daughters, Mrs. Herman (Jacoba) Konink, and Mrs. Augustus (Willhimen) Blanchard, both of Kitchener; four brothers, Johannes, Henk, Willem and Joop, all of Holland; four sisters, Mrs. Jurry (Hermine) Robertus, Mrs. William (Jacoba) Kleinmeuleman, Mrs. Joop (Hendrika) Westland, and Dina Hanekamp, all of Holland, and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by one sister. The body is at the Gruhn Funeral Home where the service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with Very Rev. F. G. Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.
