- 30 Sept 1839 (last Monday) At the guest house of Heinrich Macknelly in this township, Jacob Bickhard died at about 40 years of age. He fell off some scaffolding and died as a result of injuries.

Henry McNally died 11 Jul 1864 in Waterloo Twp., born near Reading, PA, on Apr. 24, 1794 - came to Canada in 1824 - since then, lived in Seneca Twp, Haldimand Co.; in Waterloo Twp. (near Preston) - won himself many friends through his kind behaviour - died after many weeks of suffering. 70 yrs, 2 mths, 17 days - survived by wife , 2 sons and 10 grand-children.
