Notes |
- Mr. Menno Bechtel, for many years proprietor of the Wellesley saw and planning mills, and well known here, died suddenly in Hamilton last Friday. He had been living in Baden for some time past, and his health was quite poor all summer, his mine being affected. It finally became necessary to send him to Hamilton for treatment, but a day to two after arriving there became much worse and passed away. Quite a number from this neighborhood drove to Baden on Monday afternoon to attend the funeral, the remains being interred in the Upper Street Mennonite Cemetery.
