  Walter J. Bartman, 51, of Kitchener, died suddenly at his home Thursday night. A son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bartman of Elmira, he was born near Listowel on Oct. 14, 1912, and had lived in Kitchener since 1951. He was a member of the Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Vera Reist whom he married June 1, 1951, in Elmira; his parents; two sons, Paul and Keith, both at home, three brothers, George and Oscar of Gowanstown and Fred of Saskatchewan, and two sisters, Mrs. Erwin (Rita) Dahmer of Conestogo and Mrs. George (Henrietta) Schuster of Gowanstown. A brother and a sister predeceased him. The body was at the Keffer Funeral Home from Saturday noon until Monday noon when removal was made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church for service. Rev. Lloyd Wentzlaff officiated. Burial was in Elmira Cemetery. Elmira Signet 25 Dec 1963 pg 4
