  Selma Katherine (Sally) Schmidt Peacefully, at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge on Saturday evening, October 18, 2008, in her 92nd year. Sally was the beloved daughter of the late William E. Schmidt and the former Clara Myers. She is survived by her sister, Martha Grace Schmidt and predeceased by a sister, Florence (Florrie) Nelson. Sally was born in Kitchener, attended K.W. Collegiate, Waterloo College and the University of Western Ontario. Upon graduation she taught high school in Delhi and Milverton before joining the Staff of K.C.I. as the first lady math teacher at the school. Her whole life was centered on her family, school, church and her garden. She was a lifelong member of Zion United Church and the U.C.W. In keeping with Sally's wishes, cremation has taken place with private family Inurnment at a later date. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2008, from 1-2 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at the Fairview Mennonite Home, 515 Langs Dr., Cambridge. If desired donations may be made to Kids Ability (Rotary Children's Centre) or the Fairview Mennonite Home. Arrangements entrusted to the Lounsbury Funeral Home.
