- Jonas B. Snyder, "was born May 26th, 1827. On July 16th, 1850, he was married to Nancy daughter of Joseph and Rebecca (Rosenberger) Stauffer. She was born January 15th, 1834. They reside on a farm, being part of the old homestead, situated along the Woolwich Township line."

Another of the old pioneers of this district passed away in the person of Jonas Snider resident between here and Bloomingdale. After a long illness, he passed away on the 14th inst. at the age of 81. He was married in 1850 to Anna Stauffer, who, with 5 childrn, 2 sons and three daughters, survives him. The funeral was held last Saturday.

Died 28 Jan 1880 Judith Schneider, née Bingemann, died in Waterloo Township at age of 73 years, 1 months & 20 days. She was born in Montgomery County, Pa., came to Canada in 1825 & married John Schneider on May 14, 1826, to whom she was married for 53 years. She had 11 children, of whom 9 survive her.
