- Henry Kreasan, retired contractor of this village, died suddenly at the home of his daughter on Church street shortly after two o'clock Saturday afternoon.
Mr. Kreasan was widely known for his love of the great outdoors and only recently returned from a fishing trip to Rice Lake, Can., in company with Michael Wendel. He was a member of Lancaster Association for the Protection of Birds, Fish and Game and devoted much of his time in furthering the interests of that society.
Born in Brestlau, Ontario, Aug. 26, 1850, Mr. Kreasan attained the age of sixty-six years and eleven months. The past twenty five years he has made his home in Lancaster. Surviving are his wife Magdalena; one son William H. Kreasan of Buffalo and one daughter Mrs. Charles S. Williams of No. 68 Church street.
The funeral services were held from the home of his daughter; Tuesday morning at 8:30 o'clock and from St. Mary's Church at nine o'clock, Rev. Father Ott officiating.
The pall bearers were Joseph Mosack, Michael Wendel, Fred Duttweiler, Oliver Hirsch, Chas. Haungs and Michael Burke.
