- BERGEY, Dorothy - At St. Raphael's Nursing Home, on Saturday, Sept. 11, 1993.
Miss Bergey was born in Saskatchewan, where she taught school for 10 years. She served with the Canadian Armed Forces in the Second World War. She then went back to the University of Saskatchewan receiving her Bachelor of Commerce degree and was employed with the government until her retirement. She then moved to Kitchener and had been a member of Trinity United Church.
Survived by her sister, Muriel Bergey of Kitchener and her brothers, Ken of England, Ross and his wife Ada of Kitchener and Douglas of Vancouver. Will be missed by her niece, Janet Kelly and nephew, Alan Bergey. Predeceased by her parents and her sister.
At Dorothy's request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1993 from Trinity United Church, Kitchener at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
