Notes |
- Dennis Scharlach
Dennis Scharlach died on Tuesday morning at the age of 47 years, 3 months and 8 days of a heart disease from which he had long suffered. It became serious only a week ago. He was born in Hilsbach, Grand Duchy of Baden; came to Berlin at the age of six years in December 1854 with his parents and siblings and learned the trade of furniture-making in his youth. He was a very skilled worker and in recent years occupied himself exclusively with wood-carving and inlay-work, with which he had a great deal of success. He is survived by his wife and 6 children.
His burial takes place today, Thursday, at 2: 00pm.
