  EHRAT, John Jacob - On Sunday, Feb. 24, 1985, at K-W Hospital, Kitchener, John Ehrat, of 145 MacGregor Cres., Waterloo, formerly of Philipsburg. He was born in Switzerland 83 years ago, son of the late Johannes Ehrat and the former Anna Busenhart. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg; the Canadian Order of Foresters of Court Nith, Philipsburg, where he was a treasurer for 31 years and in 1975 was named forester of the Year. A member of the Waterloo Rod and gun club, the New Hamburg Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 532 and the Senior Citizens of New Dundee. Beloved husband of the former Eva Forler, whom he married February 10 1934; sadly missed by his son, Ronald and his wife Helen of RR2, Baden; his daughter, Sheila and her husband Grant McLaughlin of Waterloo; fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Christine Ehrat, Kathryn Skowron, Michael and Susan McLaughlin and one sister, Margait of Schaffhausen, Switzerland; one nephew, Rudolf Muffler of Switzerland. He was predeceased by one son, Paul in infancy and one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Muffler. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., Ne Hamburg, after 7 pm this evening and until Wednesday, Feb. 27, 1985, at noon, when transfer will be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg, for service at 2 pm, with rev.
